  • Bilby, methought the "see first comment under" reference to division a hook to draw future Wordies to the quaint 1957 quote (however stereotypical it may be) by a Welsh-woman who thought she observed a geographical division in the prevalence of the gift of gab between descendants and speakers of Celtic vs non-Celtic residents in Britain. Was interesting to me, little that I may know of such things.
